Click On Photo: Learn how easy and fun it is to make your own jewelry. Using just a few simple materials you can make beautiful pieces for your friends and family. Great as gifts for birthdays or holidays. This class will instruct you on the basics of beading and introduce you to the wide variety of materials available in the marketplace today to create fantastic, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces - everything you need to get started on a hobby that is both fun and fulfilling. But BEWARE: Beading can be addictive!
Click On Photo: Create a one-of-a-kind pendant from copper and brass sheet metal. You will learn to texture, bend, dome and patina the metal. You will also layer shapes and textures to design a rustic piece that is uniquely yours. A basic wrapped loop technique will be taught to finish your pendant a simple hook and eye clasp.
Click On Photo: Discover the skill to weave this incredibly beautiful chain using one of the oldest forms of knitting which originated in Scandinavia. This very forgiving technique yields a beautiful, strong but supple rope that may be drawn to a variety of thicknesses. Several design variations shown in class, so you may put your own design skills at work to complete your own piece. You will also learn how to make the hammered silver "S" hook shown in the picture as your bracelet closure.
